Selected Projects & Case Studies

The problem matters more than the title.

My work usually starts with a business problem that crosses normal department lines. I use data, SQL, reporting, workflow analysis, ERP/MRP systems and hands-on operational troubleshooting to find what is actually happening and make targeted changes that improve the result.

Selected measurable results

Examples of the kinds of problems I have worked on across manufacturing, food production, retail and business systems.

$990KAnnual inventory-loss reduction identified and eliminated.
81% to 98%OTIF improvement through better systems, visibility and execution.
4,000 to 10,000Pounds per week production growth during an operational turnaround.
+70%EBITDA improvement during a period of operational and systems change.

Gilman Cheese

Manufacturing systems, reporting, scheduling, inventory and operational improvement.

Manufacturing + Data + ERP/MRP

The Problem

Manufacturing, inventory, scheduling, reporting and business information were spread across disconnected systems and workflows. Management needed better visibility, stronger execution and more reliable operating information.

What I Did

Built and improved operational reporting, consolidated data, developed MRP and scheduling tools, reduced paper-based workflows, connected business processes and used system data to identify opportunities in inventory, production and customer service.

Selected Results

81% to 98%OTIF improvement
$990KAnnual inventory-loss reduction
+70%EBITDA improvement
+30%Sales improvement
3xInbound lead growth

Harmony Cheese

Operational turnaround, production growth, waste reduction and team rebuilding.

Turnaround + Manufacturing

The Problem

The operation needed stronger production discipline, better use of labor and materials, improved packaging execution and a path toward sustainable profitability.

What I Did

Rebuilt operating routines, improved production flow, addressed staffing and packaging issues, tightened waste controls, supported product and e-commerce growth and focused the organization on measurable production and financial outcomes.

Selected Results

4,000 to 10,000 lbs/weekProduction growth

Dairyfood USA Acquisition Integration

Systems and operational integration following acquisition activity.

Integration + Systems

The Problem

Acquisition work creates overlapping systems, different operating habits, duplicated data and competing ways of doing the same work. Those differences have to be understood before they can be combined.

What I Did

Supported acquisition integration by connecting technology, operational processes and business systems while maintaining continuity for the people who depended on those systems every day.

Gordy's Market / GRS Trucking

Multi-site technology, facilities, communications and business systems.

Multi-Site + Infrastructure

The Problem

A rapidly changing multi-location retail environment needed reliable connectivity, systems support, facilities coordination and business technology that could scale across stores and acquisitions.

What I Did

Supported technology and facilities across 26 stores, maintained large-scale VPN connectivity, improved communications and business systems, automated vendor-invoice handling and supported store takeovers and system transitions.

Shredding Hunger

Building the technology and operating infrastructure for a growing nonprofit.

Build From Zero

The Problem

A growing organization needed practical systems for CRM, fulfillment, web, product operations and internal information without the budget or structure of a large enterprise.

What I Did

Built and connected technology, marketing, web, CRM and fulfillment systems; developed operational concepts for product distribution; and created tools that could support growth without requiring a large administrative team.

Why these projects matter for contract work

The common thread is not a specific job title. It is the ability to enter an unfamiliar operation, understand the data and workflow, identify where the system is breaking down and make practical changes. That is why contract and interim work is a strong fit: a company can bring me in for a defined problem without committing to a permanent executive hire.

Have a problem that looks familiar?

If your operation has reporting nobody trusts, an ERP process that creates more work than it removes, inventory problems, workflow bottlenecks or a project that needs someone to own it, send me the problem.
